Fred Hoogervorst is a professional photographer from the Netherlands, based in Trinidad and Tobago. His main focus is on nature and the human impact of environmental related issues. The documentaries done on wetlands and water, coastal area’s, drought, erosion, reforestation, health, education, use of fuel wood and alternative energy, testify of his sincere interest on these subjects.
His work covers wildlife, ecosystems, conservation, land use, landscapes, tropical rainforests and deserts of among others: Antarctica, Bangladesh, Kenya, Holland, Patagonia, Scandinavia, Seychelles, Turkey, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique e.o.

From the 15th of august 2009 Fred Hoogervorst is based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Caribbean Island Nation between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, northeast of Venezuela and the Lesser Antilles.
