Fred Hoogervorst, Professional Photographer from the Netherlands, since August 2009 based in Trinidad and Tobago, Caribbean.
The subjects focussed on, chosen either by personal initiative or by assignments, include tropical rainforests, African wildlife, coastal environments, Sahel desert and also remarkable area's like Borneo, French Guiana, Seychelles, Uganda, Indonesia, Trinidad&Tobago, Antarctica and more .... Based in Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Bangladesh in earlier years yielded in a wide range of images from Kruger, Amboseli, Masai Mara and Serengeti, the Sundarbans and the Hill Tracks.

French Guiana, South America, Guianas
French Guiana is an overseas region of France, bordering Brazil and Suriname and the Atlantic ocean. The majority of the population lives on the Atlantic Ocean coastal zone. The rainforest of French Guiana is still largely unexploited and sparsely populated. The Amazon forest of the Guiana Amazonian Park is a protected area, eco-tourism is increasing, boat trips on the Approuague and Comte rivers are an adventure.
